Mr. Hamlet graduated from Norfolk Academy in 1995. Ben attended Old Dominion University on a baseball scholarship and was awarded the Wilkins-Howard Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in 1999. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2002 and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia the same year.
Ben has earned a reputation as a fair, but ferocious advocate for his clients. He is professionally respected by both his peers and opposing counsel for his thorough and insightful representation. Ben is an active member of the Virginia Beach Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Ben lives with his family in Virginia Beach. In his spare time, you can find him competing in 24-hour adventure races, mountain endurance pursuits, and exploring some of the nation's most rugged and scenic landscapes. Mr. Hamlet also leads an annual memorial ruck to benefit veterans and Gold Star families.
